An educational project that pleads for your generosity

A collaborative musical project by the Royal Opera and the Concert Spirituel for children hospitalised at the Hôpital Necker – Enfants malades – APHP in Paris

Presention of the project

Since 2019, Château de Versailles Spectacles and the Concert Spirituel have been offering musical workshops to children hospitalised at Hôpital Necker to bring them some comfort with music.

Throughout the year, once or twice a month, the musicians of the Concert Spirituel visit the Hôpital Necker, in the common areas or directly at the bedside of sick children, to offer fun musical workshops. The programme includes instrumental practice, simplified composition, presentation of the characters and themes of the operas on which the sessions are based.

The children of Hôpital Necker have enjoyed workshops based on operas performed at the Royal Opera of Versailles, such as Mozart’s Magic Flute, Don Quixote chez la Duchesse by Boismortier, Richard the Lionhearted by Grétry and Platée by Rameau. Works where fantasy and imagination reign supreme!

The health crisis did not interrupt the workshops, which are now mainly conducted at the children’s bedside and not in groups.

Your gift to support Une Flûte pour Platée is tax-deductible. You will receive the relevant tax receipt after we have received your donation.

For individuals: 66% of the amount of the donation is tax deductible, up to a limit of 20% of your taxable income.
For companies: 60% of the amount of the donation is deductible from corporate tax, within the limit of 5% of the company’s turnover.
