- Where can I park? Do I have to walk a long way from the car park to the show venues?
You can park in the Place d’Armes car park opposite the Château, which is free of charge from 7pm. For shows that start at 7pm, parking is free and accessible from 6.15 pm via the central aisle.
If this car park is full, it is also possible to park in other car parks in the town or find a place in the streets adjacent to the Château.

- Where is the entrance to the Opera House?
You should go through the Gate of Honour, the main entrance of the Château.
- What arrangements are in place to accommodate persons with reduced mobility?

Access through the Chapel gate may be considered difficult for persons with disabilities: we therefore advise persons with disabilities to enter through the Gate of Honour. Upon presentation of proof, you can park or be dropped off as close as possible to the Château, in the Courtyard of Honour near entrance B.
- Accessing the upper floors of the Royal Opera House: is there a lift?
Yes, the lift gives you access to the Royal Balcony (second floor); please note that there are 5 steps down to access the Balcony and the Boxes.

- I am a person with reduced mobility, where can I sit?
– Wheelchair users: the seats are not accessible on the website, please contact the ticket office on +33 (0)1 30 83 78 89, Monday to Friday from 11 am to 6 pm.
– Cane or other users: You can select seats that are located in the Stalls (ground floor) or the Royal Balcony (accessible by lift).
Please note that there are no specific places in the Boxes. Two wheelchair spaces only are available in the Stalls.
Can companions enter for free?
There is no free entry for those accompanying persons with reduced mobility. However, these people are eligible for a reduced rate, limited to one companion per PRM.
- How early can we arrive at the Royal Opera ?
The entrance doors open 45 minutes before the show.
- Is there a room plan?
The room plan can be accessed on the show’s booking page by clicking on “Mode à la place” (in-situ mode). The coloured seats are those that are available.
- From what age can a child attend an opera/concert/ballet?
In view of the possible noise disturbance, the management reserves the right to refuse access to the theatre for children under the age of 5 even if a ticket has been purchased for them.
Children under 3 years of age are not permitted.
- Can I cancel my order?
Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
- Where can I collect my tickets if I make a last-minute purchase or have not received my tickets?
If the purchase was made on the same day or within 3 days prior to the date of the show, tickets must be collected on the evening of the show at the Ticket Office or Prepaid Tickets counters, at the entrance to the venue and before accessing the venue.
If you were supposed to receive the tickets at home, because your booking was made more than 4 days before the date of the show, then you must call the Ticket Office department on +33 (0)1 30 83 78 89 (Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm, as well as on Saturdays if there is a show taking place in the evening) so that a duplicate of your ticket can be issued.
You must collect this duplicate at the ticket office or prepaid tickets counters at the entrance to the venue.
- Where is the ticket office for shows in Versailles?
The Château Versailles Spectacles ticket office at welcomes you at 3 bis rue des Réservoirs in Versailles.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday non-stop from 11 am to 6 pm, as well as on Saturdays of shows (operas, concerts, recitals, ballets) from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Saturdays of Night Fountains Shows from 11 am to 5 pm.
- Can I buy tickets on site the same evening? Do you have a last-minute rate?
Yes, tickets can be bought at the Royal Opera or Orangerie ticket office on the same evening, depending on availability.
Tickets are sold at the same prices as by telephone or internet.
- Can I pay with holiday vouchers?
Yes, only on site at the shop ticket office in paper format.
- How can I redeem gift vouchers and credit notes?
They are valid for 1 year from the date of issue shown on the gift voucher. They are non-refundable and non-renewable. The booking must be made before the gift voucher/credit note expires. However, the show can take place at a later date. All detailed information on how to use them can be found here.
- Is there a “skip the queue” ticket?
No, this service is not available when purchasing a ticket.
- What is the CVS rate?
This rate is intended for those in possession of our Château de Versailles Spectacles card (not to be confused with the château card).
- Am I eligible for the “under 26” rate?
Only persons aged 25 younger are eligible for this rate.
- Who is eligible for a reduced rate?
The reduced rate is granted to :
- under-26s
- holders of the Château de Versailles Spectacles card.
- Is there a cloakroom? Are suitcases permitted?
There is a cloakroom, suitcases are not permitted.
- Is there anywhere to purchase food?
There is a bar with snacks from 45 minutes before the show and, if applicable, during the interval.
- What is the appropriate clothing to wear?
Unless mentioned as “cocktail” or “gala”, you can come in daywear.
Conditions for Refunds, Cancellations or Postponements
In the event of force majeure related to the COVID-19 pandemic or any other exceptional health event (government restrictions, lockdowns, administrative closures, travel limitations, etc.), performances and events may be modified, postponed, or cancelled. Château de Versailles Spectacles will contact attendees to inform them of the applicable conditions for refunds or postponements, depending on the event and venue.
If audience capacity restrictions or specific health measures must be implemented (physical distancing, mandatory mask-wearing, etc.), the organiser reserves the right to rearrange the space, limit the number of spectators, or offer alternatives (live streaming, delayed access, etc.).
The organiser and attendees agree to strictly comply with the health measures in force at the time of the event, as defined by the French authorities (mask-wearing, use of hand sanitiser, adherence to social distancing, etc.).
The organiser commits to informing attendees as promptly as possible of any modifications, postponements, or cancellations of the event related to the COVID-19 pandemic or specific health crises, as well as the applicable conditions for refunds or postponements.
