The Opéra Royal opens its doors to the now traditional Friends of the Opéra Royal Gala, an evening dedicated to the vitality of the new generation of lyric artists. Under the baton of Gaétan Jarry, the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal provides a showcase for the emerging talents of the Académie de l’Opéra Royal, in a program that explores the heights of operatic art.

From the genius of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro to the rarer Tarare by Salieri, the concert celebrates the diversity of the Opéra Royal’s repertoire. Italian virtuosity takes center stage with iconic works by Rossini and Donizetti, while arias from Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni demand constant mastery and sensitivity from the performers.

The young artists of the 2025/2027 class of the Académie de l’Opéra Royal will be joined by Gwendoline Blondeel, a familiar presence on the Versailles stage. She will bring this gala concert to a close with the triumphant “Salut à la France,” with which she once shook the hall during the premiere of our production of Donizetti’s La Fille du régiment, revived this season at the Opéra Royal!
